Responding to a 2:08 a.m. call, units found a three story residence fully engulfed in flames. Three fire companies worked to suppress the flames.
The fire was extinguished at 4:05 a.m.
The family escaped the blaze and were extricated to Keauhou Pier. The Red Cross responded to ensure their immediate emergency needs for food, shelter and clothing were met.
HFD estimated damage at $765,000.
