Earlyne Garcia

Earlyne Kailialoha Garcia, 62, of Hilo died Sept. 8, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker, member of Thy Word Ministries, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 23 at Dodo Mortuary chapel carport for a drive-through visitation. Burial to follow at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by husband, Rory Garcia Sr. of Hilo; children, Roselynn (Roman) Paris of Nanakuli, Oahu, David (Jessica Bradbury) Garcia of Mililani, Oahu, Loralynn (Aaron) W. Garcia of Keaau, Roxanne (Marci) Garcia of Makakilo, Oahu, Larry Chung, Rory K. Garcia Jr. andi Rochelle Hildebrand, all of Hilo; siblings, Earl Chung of Honolulu, Donna Bergau of Pahoa, and Laverne Tanaka-Kawaakoa and Melonee Ioane, both of Nanakuli, Oahu; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy McGuire

Nancy Gail McGuire, 59, of Pahoa died Sept. 6, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hinsdale, Ill., she was a retired florist.

She is survived by husband, Michael McGuire of Pahoa; sisters, Wendy (Thomas) Huhn of Dexter, Oregon, Leslie Ferguson of Honokowai, Maui; mother-in-law, Samantha McGuire of Pahoa; and two nephews.

Melvin Inaba

Melvin Kiyoto Inaba, 67, of Hilo, died July 30, 2021, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. He was born in Hilo and was a civil engineer with Inaba Engineering.

Private services held.

He is survived by daughter, Lauren Inaba of Hilo; brothers, Alan Inaba, Gordon (Ann) Inaba and Jason (Audrey) Inaba, all of Hilo; sister, Barbara (Tom Prlain) Inaba of San Francisco; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Justin Villaverde

Justin Christopher Villaverde, 45, of Captain Cook and formerly of Ellicott City, Maryland, died Sept. 15, 2021, at his residence. Born July 15, 1976, in Kealakekua, he was a claims adjuster for Nationwide Insurance.

He is survived by mother, Judy Stewart; hanai mother, Joyce Crisafi both of Captain Cook; hanai sisters, Kanani Crisafi, Crisann Crisafi all of Captain Cook, Rossie Scharfman of Arizona; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Ellison Ancheta

Ellison Julio Ancheta, 71, of Keaau died July 5, 2021, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired supervisor for the State of Hawaii Highways Division, formerly worked at Inaba Engineering, retired from the U.S. Army Reserve, a life member of the Go for Broke Association, and member of the Kupuna Pride Senior Softball Team and Panaewa Mixed League Softball Team.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 25 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for an 11 a.m. service with military honors. Casual attire.
