Wah Fook Yung
Wah Fook “Biba” Bernard Yung, 101, of Hilo, died Aug. 25, 2021, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born June 1, 1920, in Pepe’ekeo, he was a retired cable splicer supervisor for the former Hawaiian Telephone Co. and a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
Private services held.
He is survived by, son, Benedict Ah Lun (Bebe) Yung; daughter, Bernadette (Lester) Seto; son, Benson Ah Loy Yung; daughter, Bernell (Alfred) Isabel; hanai son, Benedict Ah Loy (Toni) Yung Isabel Sr.; 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Geraldine Rivera
Geraldine “Gerry” N. Rivera, 74, of Holualoa, died Sept. 15, 2021, at her residence. Born Dec. 4, 1946, in Kolo, South Kona, she was a retired custodian at Konawaena Elementary School and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by son, David Rivera of Holualoa; brothers, Arnold (Frances) Haalilio of Hilo, Wilfred (Maggie) Haalilio of Honaunau, and David (Lorrieann) Haalilio of Kealakekua; sisters, Nellie Takahashi of Hilo and Jasmine Angeleo of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
