Hawaii Island police have charged a 45-year-old man in connection with an incident Friday morning at a Volcano area school.

Nicholas Taylor, of no permanent address, allegedly walked onto the school campus during the beginning of recess and exposed his buttocks to teachers and students, according to the Hawaii Police Department, which responded to multiple calls at 10:25 a.m. Taylor fled the area upon being confronted by school staff.

Puna patrol officers located Taylor a short distance away from the school, where he was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with disorderly conduct and open lewdness and his bail was set at $1,000.
