Alabama offensive lineman JC Latham thinks it’s “disrespectful” that the powerhouse program isn’t regarded as the Southeastern Conference favorite. That status belongs to two-time defending national champion Georgia. But Latham and the Crimson Tide are embracing that so-called underdog status for a program that has won six national titles since 2009. Alabama is ranked fourth in the AP preseason Top 25. But the Tide has to replace quarterback Bryce Young and linebacker Will Anderson among other departed stars. There appears to be a three-man race for the starting quarterback job.
