The International Coastal Cleanup is is helping to protect our oceans, wildlife, trails and community by volunteers walking and cleaning this Hawaiian path. Hawaii island is still dependent on the Ala Kahakai since one in five meals come from our near shore and shoreline waters.
The cleanup will take place at 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the International Coastal Cleanup &Community Family-Fun Day.
Partner exhibits, marine debris art booth, and guessing games for prizes, will be there to enjoy as well. Snorkel to remove fishing line and marine debris. Recycling &up cycling will be part of the event. Fishing line, Cigarette litter and Hi5 beverage containers will all be recycled or upcycled.
