Kona-area schools compete in XC and air riflery

Teams from the Kona region traveled to the Hilo area Saturday to partake in a variety of BIIF competitions. In air riflery’s weekly outing at Hilo High, Konawaena tallied a team score of 727 as the top west-side finisher for the boys, while Kealakehe sported a collective 345 on the girls side. In cross country’s 5k meet at Waiakea, Hawaii Prep led west-side schools in both the girls (second overall, 52 points) and boys (third overall, 118 points) races.
