Konawaena girls volleyball beat Christian Liberty in straight sets Wednesday in Kealakeua — 25-12, 25-12, 25-10. The Wildcats remained undefeated on the season (5-0) and secured a three-way tie with Ka‘u and Hawaii Prep for No. 1 in the Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) Division II standings (as of the afternoon of Sept. 21). The Canefire dropped to 0-6 and is currently tied with Kanu for 12th in the division.
