Multiple highways are experiencing temporary lane closures this week in West Hawaii, state officials said.

The closures are expected to continue until at least Friday afternoon, according to the Department of Transportation.

The following is a list of times and closure locations:

• Kailua-Kona, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday – lane closure on Kuakini Highway between milepost 116 to 118 near Walua Road due to vegetation cutting;

• Kailua-Kona, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday – lane closure on Queen Kaahumanu Highway between milepost 97 to 98 near the intersection of Honokohau Street and Hale Makai Place due to drainage cleaning;

• Kapaau, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday – lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road between milepost 9 to 14 due to mowing and shoulder work;

• Waimea, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday – lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway between milepost 0 to 1 near the intersection of Lindsey Road and Lalamilo due to paving and striping;

• Waikoloa, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday – lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway between milepost 12.2 to 16.4 due to paving and striping and;

• Keokea-Honaunau, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday – lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway between milepost 97.3 to 104.7 near the intersection of Haleili Road and Filipino Clubhouse Road due to safety improvements.
