Keauhou Shopping Center hosts May Day, Mother’s Day events
Keauhou Shopping Center invites kama‘aina and visitors to immerse themselves in the aloha spirit at two community events.
The May Day celebration, in partnership with Pulama Na Liko, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting wellness through education rooted in Hawaiian and Polynesian culture, values and traditions, will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the center courtyard. This family-friendly event will feature hula performances, mele and interactive cultural activities, including lei making, hula demonstrations and crafts with native plants.
The Mother’s Day Sip N’ Shop will be held 3-6 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Kenichi Pacific’s lanai. ‘Ohana are invited to honor the special women in their lives with sushi, sweet treats, mocktails, shopping specials and a hands-on flower craft activity. Attendees may receive a gift with purchase, while supplies last.
“Keauhou Shopping Center is a place for community,” said Stephen Hicks, general manager at Keauhou Shopping Center. “These events are meaningful opportunities for our ‘ohana to connect, celebrate our culture and experience the aloha that makes Keauhou so special.”
