On Saturday morning, over 800 paddlers of all ages across Hawaii Island gathered in Kona town for the first time this season, participating in a multitude of long-distance races in Kailua Bay. Kawaihae Canoe Club finished with the most division wins with eight gold medals, followed by Kai ‘Ehitu with seven. HCRA paddling will return this weekend on the west side.
