Shizue “Shizu” Hirano, 93, of Captain Cook died May 5 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Captain Cook, she was a coffee farmer, homemaker and worked at Ben Franklin Store and Ace Hardware in Captain Cookand Kimura Fabric Store in Kainaliu. No services. Tomoharu Nakamura, 92, of Hilo died Feb. 10 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Bernice Helen Honma, 90, of Mountain View died May 7 at home. Born November in North Dakota, she was a bartender for 70 years. James “Mo” Montrose O’Hara

James “Mo” Montrose O’Hara, 92, of Ocean View died March 4 at home. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a U.S. Navy veteran.
