Born in Pepeekeo, she was an office clerk with Hawaiian Insurance and Guaranty, a clerk for the former LK Radio and was a foster grandparent and paraprofessional tutor at Kalanianaole School. Jaynie F. Reich
Jaynie F. Reich, 89, formerly of Kona, died April 25 in Flower Mound, Texas. Born in Clay, Ky., she was a beloved wife, mother, volunteer for numerous charities in the Dallas area, member of Dallas Park Cities Baptist Church Chorus and Kona Choral Music Society. She and her husband Don were longtime part-time residents of Kona beginning in 1970, moving there permanently in 2004. Services at a later date. Walter Lee Robinson, 78, of Hilo died May 12 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Inverness, Miss., he was a retired licensed practical nurse at Hines Veterans Hospital in Illinois, an ordained minister and veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, she grew up in Parlier, Calif., and was a teacher at Kea‘au Elementary School, a librarian and an active member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin and its Buddhist Women’s Association.
