Edwin Villaruz
Edwin Catalo Villaruz, 58, of Keaau, died Aug. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 28, 1954, in Santiago, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a mac nut farmer for Maunaloa Mac Nut Factory.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. Sept. 1 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers and lei are welcome.
He is survived by daughter, Tamar (Kapela) Villaruz, of Hilo; sons, Edwin (Julene) Villaruz Jr. and Quade Villaruz, both of Hilo; sisters, Teresita (William) Sagaysay, of Oahu, Lorena Villaruz, of Santiago, Ilocos Sur, Philippines; brothers, Rueben Villaruz, of San Francisco, Ernesto Villaruz, of Oahu, Alfredo Villaruz, of Santiago, Ilocos Sur, Philippines; one grandson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
