Otsuru Kaneshiro

Otsuru Kaneshiro, 101, of Hilo, died July 6 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Jan. 22, 1911, in Ewa, Oahu, she was a retired seamstress for Tori Richards and member of Jikoen Buddhist Church and Lanikila Senior Citizens.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary donations.

She is survived by sons, Richard (Setsuko) Kaneshiro and Harold (Patsy) Kaneshiro, both of Honolulu, Warren Kaneshirok of Los Angeles; daughters, Mildred Holland, of Los Angeles, Nancy (Buzzy) Capellas, of Hilo, Patty Mattson, of San Diego; sisters, Fumiko Kaneshiro and Shigeko (Richard) Asato, both of Honolulu, Betsy Hansberry, of California; brother, George (Joyce) Nakasato, of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
