Hilo man reported missing

Big Island police are searching for a 61-year-old Hilo man who was reported missing.

John W. Stephens Jr. was last seen Friday evening at his home on Pakalana Street, according to the Hawaii Police Department, which noted he may be on Oahu. Stephens has a medical condition that requires medication.

Stephens is described as Caucasian, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 136 pounds with thinning white hair, light-colored eyes, glasses and a scar across the top, middle of his head, according to the department. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray T-shirt.
