Shih Ting Chen pounded 10 kills, and setter Ying Chun Chen had 39 assists to lead Brigham Young-Hawaii to a 25-12, 25-9, 25-14 win over the University of Hawaii at Hilo on Saturday night.

The Pacific West Conference women’s volleyball match, the season-finale for the host Vulcans, was played at the UH-Hilo gym.

The conference champion Seasiders improved to 21-3 overall and 16-0 in the PacWest, while the Vulcans finished 4-17 and 4-11. Freshman Bria Morgan led the Vulcans with 12 kills, and setter Autumn Chong had 12 assists. Senior Patty Vine-Snel led the hosts with nine digs to close out her collegiate career.

Vine-Snel was one of three seniors on this year’s squad, along with Melissa Chavez and Megan Medeiros.
