No tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-6.5 earthquake that struck Thursday morning in water’s south of Tonga.
The earthquake hit at 11:08 a.m. Hawaii time, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. Its depth was registered at about 64 miles.
