The Department of Land and Natural Resources reopened the Waimanu trail in North Kohala today, after a flash flood watch for the North Kohala area was canceled.
Camping permits for Waimanu trail are now available from the Division of Forestry and Wildlife office in Hilo, located at 19 E. Kawili St. or online at camping.ehawaii.gov/camping/welcome.html. For more information, call 974-4221.
