Codependent women meeting Monday

Co-Dependents Anony-mous women’s group meets at 5 p.m. Monday at the Unity Church sanctuary, 75-5722 Hanama Place, Kailua-Kona, across from Big Island Grill.

Park announces December events

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park continues its tradition of sharing Hawaiian culture and After Dark in the Park programs with the community and visitors in December. All programs are free, but park entrance fees apply. Programs are co-sponsored by the Hawaii Pacific Parks Association, and a $2 donation helps support park programs.

Carl Ray Villaverde appears in concert from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kilauea Visitor Center auditorium.

Members of Aha Puhala o Puna share the art of lauhala weaving from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday on the Kilauea Visitor Center lanai.

John Keawe performs in concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Kilauea Visitor Center auditorium.

Haku Mele Hoike, an evening of new, original Hawaiian music by island songwriters, is scheduled form 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Kilauea Visitor Center auditorium.

Brain injury group meets Wednesday

The Brain Injury Support group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawaiian Rehab Services, mauka of the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union on Hualalai Road.

The speaker will be Michelle Lee, advocate with the Hawaii Disability Rights Center, discussing services and programs provided such as protection and advocacy for Hawaii’s estimated 180,000 residents with disabilities.

Ethics board meeting Wednesday

The Hawaii County Board of Ethics meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Council Chambers in the Hawaii County Building, 25 Aupuni St., Hilo. Board meetings are open to the public. The agenda is posted on the county’s website.

Seniors group plans Christmas luncheon

Kailua-Kona Seniors will celebrate Christmas with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Honu Room at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. Prior registration is necessary. A reduced parking fee is offered.

There will be no meeting at Hale Halawai.
