Elves gathered more than 900 coconuts and created a 14-foot-tall Christmas tree at The Fairmont Orchid Hawaii.

Dozens of Big Island residents and visitors went nuts Saturday evening for this unique tree lighting celebration. Halau Opuaikalai and Halau Kaopuu performed during the event.

Also on display at the South Kohala luxury resort was a canoe, created with more than 120 pounds of chocolate, in the lobby.
