Phyllis Mae Kansana, 62, of Hilo died Dec. 24, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired office assistant with Sears Roebuck &Co. and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Hauoli Hoaloha Motorcycle Club.

Joe Joseph Frank Lorenzo Jr., 75, of Hilo died Dec. 28, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 14, 1938, in Pahala, he was a bookkeeper for J.J. Bookkeeper Services, a clerk for the Department of Human Services, school crossing guard at Waiakeawaena School in Hilo, and Army veteran and member of Hawaii Government Employees Association.

Robert Seizo Nakamura, 75, of Las Vegas and Honolulu, died Dec. 30, 2013, at Queen’s Medical Center. Born in Kealakekua, he was vice president of finance at American Honda Finance Corp.

Pamela Darlene Leinaala Kapoi Young, 65, of Waimea died Dec. 27, 2013. Born Jan. 9, 1948, on Oahu, she was a manager at Cattleman’s Steakhouse in Waimea and a longtime cook and baker, most recently at the Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Dolores Nakako Ida, 89, of Hilo died Dec. 20, 2013, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born April 8, 1924, in Wahiawa, Kauai, she was a homemaker and member of Waiokeola Congregational Church.

Rochelle Akie Ashikawa, 91, of Keauhou died Dec. 19, 2013, at Life Care Center of Kona. Born Sept. 5, 1922, in Holualoa, she was a land developer with Kona Scenic Land, a farmer, member of Daifukuji Soto Mission, honorary member of the Kona Rotary Club, University of Extension Club and a former 4-H leader.

She is survived by husband, Gilbert Ashikawa of Holualoa; son, Gary Ashikawa of Honolulu; daughters, Amy Hata of Holualoa, Faye (Terry) McComas of Kealakekua; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
