Harold Stanford Boehm, 67, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 17, 2013, at his home. Born June 14, 1946, in Huntington Park, Calif., he was a retired business development manager for Briggs Electric in Irvine, Calif., attended Grace Community Church and was a member of West Hawaii Woodturners.

Teruko Naramoto
Teruko Naramoto, 91, of Honolulu died Jan. 13, 2014, at St. Francis Hospice Puiwa. Born Nov. 25, 1922, in Kalopa-Hamakua, she was a retired, self-employed florist with Bea’s Flower Shoppe.
Friends may call at noon Jan. 20 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary in Honolulu for a 1 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by daughters, Joyce (Harris) Hirata of Hilo, Nan (Danny) Stavnshoj of Seattle; sisters, Haruko (Masayoshi) Takahashi, Janet Chiyono Yuuki, Yukiko (Jose Jr.) Jandoc and Thelma (Lawrence) Kami, all of Honolulu, seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Masao Gusukuma
Masao Gusukuma, 84, of Pepeekeo died Jan. 10, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 1, 1929, in Ninole, he was a retired mechanic from Hilo Coast Processing Co., an ILWU Union Insurance agent, Army veteran and member of Honomu Hongwanji Mission, Hui Okinawa and ILWU Local 142.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. Jan. 21 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 5 p.m. service. Cremation follows. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Yoshiko Gusukuma of Pepeekeo; son, Curtis Gusukuma of Pepeekeo; brother, Masanobu (Yoshiko) Gusukuma of Kailua, Oahu; sisters, Toshiko Uchima of Laupahoehoe, Sally Hiroko Nagata and Yasu Sugiyama, both of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray Gillespie
Ray Wesley Gillespie, 71, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 27, 2013, in Seattle. Born May 9, 1942, in Leavenworth, Kan., he was a retired contracting manager with Hawaii Health Systems Corp., a retired Vietnam War Army veteran and charter member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Jan. 24 at St. Michael’s tent location on Honokohau Street for a 10:30 a.m. service. A military honors funeral will follow at noon at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held after the service at the family residence. Henry Regohos Jr., 62, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 3, 2014, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Feb. 19, 1951, in Honolulu, he was an Army veteran, auto mechanic and member of Soka Gakkai International-USA.

Peter Keka
Peter Keka, 73, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 10, 2013, at his residence. Born Oct. 9, 1940, in Waikii, he was a rock wall builder who also assisted in the restoration of Kaloko Pond, Ahuena Heiau and Higashihara Park and member of the Kona Horseshoe Pitching Club and Queen Liliuokalani and Kai O Pua Canoe clubs.
Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 1 at the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park at the Koloko Pond for a 10:30 a.m. service. Parking is available and shuttle service will be provided at the park visitor’s center. Family requests casual attire be worn.

Margaret Froebel
Margaret “Elaine” Froebel, 72, of Volcano died Jan. 8, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born June 7, 1941, in Galveston, Texas, she was retired from Walmart in Texas.

She is survived by son, Michael Froebel of Volcano; daughter, Kimberly (Matt) Johnson of Hitchcock, Texas; hanai son, John Deermer of Volcano; sisters, Patti Carlson and Carol (Dan) McLeod, both of League City, Texas; three grandchildren.

Tsuyako Ebesugawa
Tsuyako “Nappie” Ebesugawa, 98, of Hilo died Dec. 19, 2013, at her residence. Born Aug. 5, 1915, in Hilo, she was the proprietress of Ebesu’s Limited and member of the Zonta Club of Hilo, Hilo Woman’s Club, Higashi Hongwanji Fujin Kai, Waiakea Chuo Kumiai, Japanese Community Association and East Hawaii Hiroshima Kenjin Kai.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts.
She is survived by sisters, Ann Kaya and Satsuki Ebesugawa, both of Hilo, Ruby (Herbert) Maruyama of Denver; numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.

Edward O’Brien
Edward “Tim” George O’Brien, 84, of Waikoloa died Jan. 8, 2014, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Oct. 13, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the hotel general manager for Rock Resorts in the Virgin Islands and a Navy veteran.

Katherine “Kanani” “Luana” Kapahu Painter, 69, of Mountain View died Jan. 3, 2014, at her residence. Born Aug. 25, 1944, in Hilo, she was a security guard and member of New Hope Volcano.

Teruyo “Terry” Segawa, 84, of Hilo died Jan. 4, 2014, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Oct. 17, 1929, in Kohala, she was retired from F.W. Woolworth’s store in Hilo and member of Higashi Hongwanji Mission and Waiakea Houselots Kumiai.
