Quilters may win prizes and collect exclusive tropical flower quilt block patterns during the sixth annual Big Island Quilt Shop Hop from Saturday through Feb. 22 at nine quilt shops throughout Hawaii Island.

Shop hoppers collect stamps on their passports at each store for a chance to win the grand prize, a Janome sewing machine. Second prize is a $400 ticket voucher from Hawaiian Airlines, and other prizes include fabric and gift certificates.

Maps and passports can be picked up at any quilt shop on the route: Pahala Quilting and Creative Sewing Center in Pahala, Kilauea Kreations in Volcano, Kilauea Kreations II in Hilo, The Fabric Workshop in Hilo, Fabric Impressions in Hilo, Topstitch in Waimea, Fabric &Quilting Delights in Kailua-Kona, Quilt Passions and Needlework Shop in Kailua-Kona and H.
