Mosaic artist and acrylic painter Kathleen Jaeger is the Kailua Village Artists featured artist in February.
The public is invited to meet Jaeger when she works at the gallery Wednesday and Feb. 13 and 27. She will also be one of the featured artists at a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 7 at the gallery in Kona Marketplace on Alii Drive.
Jaeger worked in mainland public schools teaching art, and she worked primarily as an art therapist in alternative settings for special needs students, most specifically behaviorally disordered or emotionally disturbed students. Once Jaeger retired, she moved with her husband, Bill, to the Big Island.
The gallery is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 329-6653.
