King Kamehameha Day parade entries sought
Registration is open to groups and individuals, including vehicles and equestrian units, who want to be in the annual King Kamehameha Day Celebration Parade.
The parade will be held at 9 a.m. June 14 on Alii Drive. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Jewelry-making workshop is Monday
Jewelry artist Sid Nakamoto will demonstrate a simple and beautiful jewelry design for the North Kohala Public Library adult and teen craft program Monday.
Nakamoto will offer two sessions of the same program at 2 and 6 p.m. Materials will be provided for participants to create their own jewelry piece.
Space is limited. Call the library at 889-6655 to register.
The library’s adult and teen craft programs are free and materials are donated by the artist or Friends of the Library.
Country two-step lessons offered
Waimea Ballroom Dance Club will hold six weeks of country two-step dancing starting Monday at The Waimea Elementary School cafeteria.
No partner is necessary. Join the fun for $15 annual dues and $10 for six weeks of lessons. Registration starts 6:30 p.m. on the first two weeks only. An hourlong lesson by Lance Oliver is at 7 p.m. and a half-hour practice mixer follows.

Web designer addresses Kona Sunrise Rotary
Jillyn Dillon, a website specialist, will speak about Web design during the Rotary Club of Kona Sunrise weekly breakfast meeting Wednesday.
She will explain different Web design approaches and functionality. The meeting begins at 6:45 a.m. at Hale Halawai. Breakfast is $10.
