Stolen vehicle
On Feb. 24, a 1999 green hard-top Jeep Wrangler was reported stolen in the area of 73-4500 Old Mamalahoa Highway. It bears the license plate JXW811.
On Feb. 25, the owner of a 2005 Subaru Forester, bearing the license plate HEP273, reportedly gave a woman permission to use her vehicle to run errands and return it by the day’s end. The woman has not returned the vehicle or communicated with the owner regarding her whereabouts.
Theft from vehicle or unauthorized entry
On Feb. 23, the owner of a blue 2006 Honda Civic reported approximately $250 worth of damages to her vehicle, which was parked between mile markers 81 and 82 on Queen Kaahumanu Highway.
On Feb. 24, the owner of a Toyota truck reported being woken up by his dog, looking outside of his home in the area of 73-1200 Kaminani Drive, and seeing an unknown man walking away from his vehicle. He later found a hat had been left inside.
On Feb. 25, a massage table, owner’s manual, sunglasses and several CDs were reportedly taken from a vehicle in the area of 73-1300 Onaona Drive. The value of the items was estimated to be $1,980.
On Feb. 25, a bottle of Subutex tablets was reportedly stolen from the center console of a white 1999 Nissan Altima while it was parked unattended in Ocean View. The vehicle’s windows were down and doors unlocked at the time.
On Feb. 28, a scarf and bag with several items were reportedly taken from a vehicle at the popular “Pine Trees” surf, dive and camping spot. The value of the items was estimated to be $105.
