Seattle Seahawks center Max Unger visited the Leeward Steelers during their practice Thursday afternoon at Kealakehe Intermediate School in Kailua-Kona.

The 27-year-old Super Bowl XLVIII champion, who hails from Kailua-Kona, shared words of inspiration with the football players during the surprise visit.

The Leeward Steelers Mitey Mite Pop Warner football team went undefeated in the Pop Warner Super Bowl mitey-mite division held in December in Kissimmee, Fla.

The team won its two games, 14-0 and 20-0. With the wins, the team finished the season with a 9-0 record.
