Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Monday morning structure fire on Hibiscus Street in Mountain View.

Responding to the 7 :52 a.m. alarm, firefighters found a 440-square-foot “wood workshop in a garage-like structure” engulfed in flames, according to the Hawaii County Fire Department. Using approximately 8,000 gallons of water, firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to a residence.

The fire was declared out at 8:45 a.m., according to the department. No injuries were reported.

Damage to the single-story structure was estimated at $200,000 according to the department.
