Starbucks has tapped for its Reserve collection a coffee that is grown on Hawaii Island.

Starbucks Reserve 100 percent Kona Parry Estate will be available for a limited time in select Starbucks stores. The coffee is grown and processed on the slopes of Mauna Loa in Kona at the Parry Estate

The estate has been owned and operated by John Parry for more than 25 years and produces an estimated 7,500 to 10,000 pounds of green coffee per acre, according to Starbucks.

The coffee presents itself with lush floral and caramel aromas, followed by distinct citrus and nut flavors in the tasting, according to Starbucks.

“Producing an extremely high quality coffee takes meticulous care,” said Anthony Carroll, a Starbucks manager of Coffee Quality. “Meticulous care is exactly the way I would describe the approach taken at Parry Estate. This Estate is stunning. It is well-maintained and cared for and it shows in the amazing coffee it produces. The trees are healthy and the mill is extremely clean and efficient.”

The product is currently also available for purchase online.
