Alyssa Hara fired a five-hitter with six strikeouts as Waiakea blanked Pahoa in a Big Island Interscholastic Federation softball game Thursday in Pahoa.
Cheylee Octavio batted 2 for 4, Taylor Nishimura and Kristi Hara each 2 for 3, and Skyler Thomas 3 for 4 to lead the Warriors (3-1), who scored 10 runs in the first inning.
Hannah Kamau took the loss for the Daggers (0-4).
