Sandell’s work displayed at New York Art Expo

Nine paintings by Hawaii Island resident Ginger Sandell will be on exhibit Friday to Sunday at the New York Art Expo at Pier 94. Her seascapes and still life paintings will also be featured in Art Business Magazine.

The Infinity series is a set of seascapes that was completed by using as much as 20 glazes in oil paint. Palette knife was also used for texture in the foreground. The middle ground blends into the horizon and the background is placed in the heavens. Sandell’s paintings show the beauty and life in simple objects.

Sandell hopes to inspire others with her art. She believes that art in all its forms — musical, literary, and tactile— is used to connect humans to one another.
