The last name of Mary Lou Piilani Kaneao, 65, of Kailua-Kona was incorrect in an earlier obituary because of information supplied by the mortuary.

Katherine Nathaniel

Katherine Violet Nathaniel, 79, of Hilo died March 15, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 6, 1934, in Hilo, she was a homemaker, member of Hale Lokahi Catholic Retreat in Volcano and member and former president of Lanakila F.C.E. Club.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. April 6 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may call again at 9 a.m. April 7 at the mortuary for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park, Section 4. Family requests aloha attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Conrad Nathaniel of Hilo; daughters, Sweetie (David) Osorio and Roquel (Kevin) Kahaloa, both of Hilo, Cherilynn (Robert) Barrett of Mililani, Oahu, Corianne Caplener of Kaumakani, Kauai, Lorielee (Scott) Guynes of Kapolei, Oahu; brothers, Harry (Jean) Nathaniel of Washington, Franklin (Cheryl) Nathaniel of Texas; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Gilbert Aguiar

Gilbert Paul Aguiar, 84, of Hilo died March 31, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and mechanic for the former Theo H. Davies Co. and Pacific Machinery and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 9 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Burial follows at Homelani Memorial Park. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Leilani Aguiar of Hilo; daughter, Sharon (Stephen) Butler of Hilo; son, Curtis (Karen) Aguiar of Las Vegas; brother, George (Ruth) Aguiar of Hilo; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Cornelio Albo

Cornelio “Junior” Keoki Namauu Albo, 66, of Pepeekeo died March 24, 2014, at home. Born Nov. 1, 1947, in Pepeekeo, he was a farmer, worked for Hilo Coast Processing Co., was a former commercial fisherman, a bowling coach for St. Joseph High School in Hilo and member of various bowling leagues.

John Allen Frank Sr., 61, died July 30, 2013, at Maui Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 2, 1951, in Honolulu.

He is survived by children, Poni (Sio) Manuele, John (Jez) Funk Jr. and Kamoku (Sandy) Funk, all of Kona; brother, Bruce (Mary) Funk of Kona; sisters, Margret (Larry) Jose, Brenda Funk and Agnes (Mel) Aurio, all of Kona.

Lawrence Torres

Lawrence Torres, 58, of Hilo died April 1, 2014, at Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Honolulu, he retired as a truck driver for HPM.

Services will be held later.

He is survived by wife, Vermine Torres of Hilo; daughters, Heather (Dayne) Dolfo of Hilo, Tani (Joey) Torres of Honolulu; brothers, Donald (Laurel) Torres of Texas, Patrick (Shari) Torres of Honolulu; sisters, Donna (Tommy) Crosley of Mountain View, Lorinda Torres of Honolulu; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rani Ulrich

Rani “Denise” Ulrich, 65, of Keauhou died April 1, 2014, at home. Born in Elmhurst, Ill., she was a software developer for J.C. Penney and Miller Brewing Co., an artist, member of Waimea Arts Council and Keauhou Canoe Club and a former member of Kailua Village Artists.

No services are planned.

She is survived by partner, John Lynch of Keauhou; mother, Rani Davidson of Belleair Bluffs, Fla; brothers, Mike (Linda) Ulrich of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Todd Davidson of Belleair Bluffs, Fla., Scott (Robyn) Davidson of Seminole, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia Armstrong

Patricia Mary Armstrong, 82, of Captain Cook died March 4, 2014. Born Nov. 13, 1931, in San Luis Obispo, Calif., she worked as an executive secretary and was an award-winning quilt maker.

She is survived by sons, James McKinley (Susan) of Richland, Wash., Patrick McKinley of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Susan Rosenbaum of Captain Cook, Diana Dreyer of Las Vegas; brother, Robert Ballew of South San Francisco, Calif.; sister, Joan McDonald of San Ramon, Calif.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Chieko Kishi

Chieko Kishi, 87, of Hilo died March 7, 2014, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Aug. 6, 1926, in Wahiawa, Oahu, she was retired from First Hawaiian Bank, worked for Sanford K. Okura Attorney at Law and was a member of Higashi Hongwanji Mission.

Private services were held.

She is survived by daughter, Gail Kishi of Hilo; brother, Edward (Pearl) Nagata of Pearl City, Oahu; sisters, Kiyoko Oda of Mililani, Oahu, Lucile Nakamura of Wahiawa, Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.

Hiroshi Kitsutani

Hiroshi Kitsutani, 94, of Hilo died March 31, 2014, at home. Born Oct. 8, 1919, in Paauilo, he was the retired owner for the former Kitsutani Monument shop and a World War II Army veteran.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

He is survived by daughters, Elaine Katahira and Aileen Kikuyama, both of Hilo; brother, George (Seiko) Kitsutani of Hilo; sister, Fumiko (Katsutoshi) Sasabe of California; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Judith Leinenweber

Judith “Judy” Ann Leinenweber, 62, of Kailua-Kona died March 28, 2014, at her residence. Born Feb. 25, 1952, in Brownsville, Texas, she was as an operating room technician and restaurant manager.

She is survived by husband, Christian Leinenweber.

Janet McGrorty

Janet McGrorty, 89, of Keaau died March 31, 2014, at a care home. Born Dec. 20, 1924, in Brownsville, Pa., she was an emergency room admissions clerk for The Queen’s Medical Center.

She is survived by husband, Donald McGrorty of Keaau; daughters, Leslie (Richard) McCormick of Newport, Wash., Kristen Luning of Keaau; son, Kurt (Sharyn) Munchmeyer of Kailua, Oahu; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Sueo Sakata

Sueo Sakata, 75, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 6, 2014, at Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Kailua-Kona.

Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts.

He is survived by brothers, Norman Sakata of Kailua-Kona, Itsu Sakata of Kauai, Albert Sakata of Honolulu; sisters, Nancy (Zane) Fujimoto and Emi Jane Fenske, both of Kailua-Kona.
