A 39-year-old man is in police custody Saturday afternoon following a report of gunshots fired in Kailua Village.

Kona Patrol officers responded about 12:05 p.m. to a report of gunshots fired by a man in the parking lot of a resort off of Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona, according to the Hawaii Police Department. Upon arrival, police determined the identify of the person believed responsible for discharging a firearm and arrested the 39-year-old man without incident.

There were no reported injuries or damage, according to police.
