No tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-6.6 earthquake Friday morning off the coast of Nicaragua.
The earthquake struck at 10:29 a.m. Hawaii time, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
According to the center, based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii.
