John Cook
John Randell Cook, 62, of Hakalau died May 3, 2014, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born on Aug. 2, 1951, in Ada, Okla, he was a retired registered nurse for The Queen’s Medical Center and University of California San Francisco Medical Center.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. May 10 at Alae Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn and flowers be omitted.
He is survived by spouse, Paul Mount II of Hakalau; daughter, Mandy Mount of California.

Cora Walsh
Cora Johanna Walsh, 98, of Waiohinu died May 3, 2014. Born in Iowa, she retired as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Kahuku Congregational Church in Ocean View.

Pedro Racelis Jr.
Pedro Eleazar Racelis Jr., 94, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 17, 2014, at his residence. Born Jan. 15, 1920, in Manila, Philippines, he fought in the Filipino army during World War II and survived the Bataan Death March. He later served as Captain in the U.S. Army and worked as a field foreman for Onomea Sugar Company. He was also a recreation specialist with Matson Navigation Company Hawaiian Hotel Division, clerk interpreter for Hutchinson Sugar Company, recreation specialist at Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility and at Hale Hoomalu juvenile detention home.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. May 20 at Kalihi Union Church, 2214 N. King Street in Honolulu. Internment will be held at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Pacific in Punchbowl, Oahu. Family requests flowers be omitted.
He is survived by wife, Rositania Racelis; sons, Pedro Racelis III, Mario Racelis; four grandchildren.

Enoka Ulu Sr.
Enoka Saleauau Leio “Pops” Ulu Sr., 61, of Kailua-Kona died April 6, 2014, at his home. Born Jan. 20, 1953, in Vaitogi, Samoa, he was a golf maintenance worker for Big Island Country Club, a former electrician, campus police and volleyball coach for Konawaena High School, founding member and coach for Queen Liliuokalani Canoe Club, former board of director and member of Keauhou Canoe Club, member of Kauikeaouli Canoe Club and Kai E Hitu Canoe Club. He was an official for Moku O Hawaii Canoe Paddling Association starter boat, former head coach for Kalaoa Falcons Pop Warner Football Association, a former player and coach for Ululites, Ghetto Blast &Ghetto Jam, and a member of KHPC Horseshoe Club.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. May 17 at OTEC for a service.
He is survived by wife, Gwendolyn Ulu of Kailua-Kona; mother, Taulafoga Ulu of Milpitas, Calif.; sons, Bill (Leilani) Ulu, Enoka Ulu Jr. all of Hilo, Iosefa (Cecelia) Ulu of Holualoa, Puaita (Marcy) Pulotu, Sausia (Charity) Ulu-Abraham; daughters, Dorothy Ulu, Lehuanani (Tim) Abraham all of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Tuiluga Ulu of Honolulu, Italia (Samu) Tiumalu, Fualuga Ulu all of Milpitas, Calif.; 29 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Otis Butler
Otis “Red” Roland Butler, 86, of Ocean View died April 28, 2014, at his residence. Born Dec. 9, 1927, in Cleveland, he was a charter skipper and owner of Marlin Queen Fishing, Inc., past vice president and general manager of Honolulu Painting Company on the Big Island and a Marine Corps veteran. He was also part owner of Butler Consulting Company.
Friends may call at noon, May 23 at Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club at Honokohau Boat Harbor for a service.
He is survived by wife, Dale Butler of Ocean View; brothers, Theodore Butler of Maine, Michael Butler of Illinois; sister, Eleanor Dobbs of Illinois; stepson, Brian Staley of Pennsylvania; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeane La Salle
Jeane Dennis La Salle, 80, of Kailua-Kona died April 26, 2014, at Life Care Center of Kona. Born Oct. 21, 1933, in Couer d’Arlene, Idaho, he retired from Southern California Edison as an electrical engineer and was a Marine Corps veteran who served during the Korean War.
Private services were held.
He is survived by wife, Katie La Salle of Kailua-Kona; sons, Craig La Salle, Jeff La Salle both of Tennessee, Chris La Salle of California; brother, Alvin La Salle of California; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Matsuko Fukushima
Matsuko Fukushima, 89, of Hilo died April 14, 2014, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born June 16, 1924, in Hilo, she retired from the former Stationer’s Corporation in Hilo as an office clerk. She was a member of Hilo Meishoin Buddhist Temple and Hilo Hooganji Mission.
Private services were held. Family requests flowers be omitted.
She is survived by husband, Sadami Fukushima of Hilo; daughter, Laraine Heirakuji of Hilo; sons, Calvin (Susan Nawatani) Fukushima of Ewa Beach, Calif., Harvey (Tracey) Fukushima; brothers, Itsuo Kitamura, Haruo Kitamura, Teruo Kitamura all of Hilo; sister, Norma Oshiro of Honolulu, four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nephews and nieces.
