Police seek man for questioning

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with a misdemeanor sexual assault investigation.

The man’s image was captured on a surveillance camera at a store in Hilo on April 13, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

He is described as being between 50 and 60 years old with a medium build and a beard that extends to the middle of his stomach. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a camouflage jacket and a cowboy hat.

Police ask anyone with information on his identity or his whereabouts to call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Jesse Kerr at 961-8843 or jkerr@co.hawaii.hi.us.
