A handful of Big Island restaurants made this year’s Top 100 Best Outdoor Dining Restaurants in America.
Island Lava Java Bistro in Kailua-Kona; Kamuela Provision Co. in Waikoloa; Blue Dragon Restaurant in Kawaihae; Brown’s Beach House at the Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii, in South Kohala; and Ulu Ocean Grill and Sushi Lounge in Kaupulehu, made OpenTable’s recently released 2014 Diners’ Choice Awards for outdoor restaurants.
Also on the list were four Oahu restaurants; six Maui restaurants and one Kauai restaurant.
With outdoor ambience combined with fabulous food and cocktails, these restaurants have created some of the most coveted alfresco dining experiences in the country, according to OpenTable, which recently released the 2014 Diners’ Choice Awards. California had the most winning restaurants on this year’s list, followed by Florida, Hawaii and Arizona.
The awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for approximately 19,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, according to OpenTable.
