North Kohala celebrated King Kamehameha Day Wednesday with a lei draping of the King Kamehameha Statue in Kapaau. Festivities continued with a floral parade on Akoni Pule Highway from Hawi to Kapaau. A hoolaulea featuring food, crafts and entertainment followed the parade at Kamehameha Park in Kapaau.
