HANA, Maui — Authorities in Maui say a Texas woman died after falling 15 to 20 foot down a ledge onto rocks at Haleakala National Park.
Police and fire officials say 55-year-old Cheryl Black of McKinney, Texas sustained severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday.
The Maui News reports Black was trying to get to another pool at Oheo Gulch in the park’s Kipahulu District when she fell.
