Police seek missing Pepeekeo man

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 24-year-old Pepeekeo man reported missing Sunday.

Leigh Alafanso, who also goes by the name Jason Rich, is described as 5-foot-6-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown eyes, long black hair and a mustache, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

He is also wanted on a bench warrant for contempt of court. Alafanso was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, a white T-shirt, yellow basketball shorts and black slippers.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call Officer Keith Simeona at 961-2213 or the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
