Burglary

July 6, a black backpack containing a silver MacBook Pro and a black external hard drive, valued at $280, was reported stolen from the 6000 block of Walua Road in North Kona.

July 7, a residence was reported broken into on the 6000 block of Alii Drive in North Kona.

July 9, an item valued at $4,000 was reported stolen from the 6000 block of Alii Drive in North Kona.

Vehicle theft

July 7, a blue Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck valued at $10,000 was reported stolen on the 6000 block of Nalani Street in North Kona.

July 7, a vehicle was reported stolen from Makalawena Beach in North Kona, and later recovered with $4,100 in items missing and rims and body damaged.

July 8, a motorcycle was reported stolen by someone known to the owner and recovered from the 5000 block of Mamalahoa Highway in South Kona.

July 10, a green 2009 Kawasaki 2X10R motorcycle was reported stolen from the 5000 block of Alii Drive in North Kona.

Theft from a vehicle

July 11, a male suspect was arrested and charged following a report of a theft of a backpack and cellphone from a pickup truck on the 100 block of Lunapule Road in North Kona.

July 13, a brown purse valued at $170 was reported stolen from a vehicle on Kaleiopapa Street in North Kona.
