Medical care questionable

I am writing this in frustration of the length of time it takes to get a biopsy done here.

My love of 25 years was told he has lung tumors after several X-rays and one CT scan. And we were told to get a biopsy done. Well, come to find out that after waiting for one week to hear when it could be done was that the one doctor who could do it was on vacation for two weeks. I do not mind that but then he is back and they now need more blood work. Couldn’t that have been done while he was on vacation to be ready? Now it is going to be two more weeks as they have only one pathologist on staff at the hospital and this type of biopsy can only be done on Fridays.

They get a fancy new helicopter but do not have enough doctors on staff to keep things running. It seems to me they are following a trend like the VA hospitals. And we all know what happens to folks waiting for things to get done there, they die. We would like to know what can or we can do to get the help he needs but at this rate it will be months before we get into see the oncolagist. By the time he gets in it will be 10 weeks.

I find this unacceptable. Please get more doctors here to provide the care we all deserve.
