Old Mamalahoa Highway reopened about 10 p.m. Thursday afternoon after a downed tree in the Ahualoa area of Honokaa blocked both lanes of travel.
The highway was closed in both directions shortly before 2 p.m. between Kapuna Rood and Kahana Drive, according to the Hawaii Police Department.
