Military convoys planned between Hilo and PTA

Soldiers are scheduled to convoy between Keaukaha Military Reservation in Hilo and Pohakuloa Training Area 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Convoys will use the Keaukaha Military Reserve road, Kanoelehua Avenue, West Puainako Street, Komohana Avenue, Puainako Extension Route 2000 and Daniel K. Inouye Highway, according to the U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii.

The Hawaii Police Department will escort the convoys. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.

The PTA Department of Army police are working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate this activity in support of unit training.
