Notes: Fiesta won on a hole shot and a better reaction time. … During a preliminary, Maui driver P.J. Marciel lost control of his Camaro and ran into a guard rail. The car’s fuel tank caught fire but was extinguished by rescue personnel. Marciel was flown to Honolulu because of smoke inhalation and remained for observation.
