Students of Na Kahumoku, a youth-led environmental stewardship initiative based at Kealakehe Intermediate School, recently cleaned paakai, or sea salt. They gathered at Kalaemano under the guidance of Aunty Lei.
Na Kahumoku is a program of Friends of the Future, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which facilitates community-led change, perpetuates cultural anchors, and improves health-related quality of life for the Hawaii Island community.
