The Satin Dolls Cabaret is created, directed and produced by the performers. Bailey, lead vocalist and dancer, and Pennie Sullivan, lead choreographer and dancer, created the dance routines for the Satin Dolls, which also includes Oriana Sandoval, Aileen Kunewa and Karen Ippoliti. The music is arranged and performed by the Casablanca Jazz Quartet, featuring Sue Garrod on trombone and keyboard, Steve Reynolds on acoustic guitar and vocals, Scott Jeffrey on acoustic bass, and Eric Jaeger on drums. Jeffrey is also the master of ceremonies.
“The cabaret show is a fun and flirty performance,” Bailey said. “This is our second year performing at the Aloha Theatre. We added new dancers and music, featuring some works by Duke Ellington from his famous Cotton Club performances and nationwide radio broadcasts. Duke’s sexy and colorful music sets the mood, to which we add music from other great cabaret performances.”
