For years, Ka‘u was on the wrong end of many lopsided Big Island Interscholastic Federation football scores.
But in eight-man, the shoe is on the other foot.
Anthony Emmsley-AhYee, Kalii Apia-Dolan, Cy Tamura, Randall Kahele and Kupono Palakiko-Leffew each scored touchdowns as Ka‘u rolled to a 62-0 victory over Pahoa in Pahala on Friday night.
Emmsley-AhYee hauled in touchdown passes of 11 and 20 yards as the Trojans (2-0 BIIF, 2-1) bolted to a 54-0 lead at halftime.
Defensively, Kainalu Medeiros-Dancel grabbed an interception and Evan Manoha and Kaweni Ibarra combined to help produce a safety against the Daggers (0-2, 0-3).
