Burglaries

Sept. 8, someone reportedly entered a house which is under construction and unoccupied in the 78-6600 block of Alii Drive and took power tools.

Sept. 9, coins were taken from a laundry soap dispenser coin tray in the Kona Billfisher complex on Alii Drive. A suspect was arrested regarding this case.

Sept. 9, a Sony Vaio laptop was reportedly taken from an apartment in the 76-6200 block of Alii Drive. A man was arrested regarding this case and the laptop was recovered.

Stolen vehicle

Sept. 6, a maroon 2001 Jeep Wrangler bearing Hawaii license plate HAJ089 was reportedly taken from the public parking lot off of Sarona Lane.

Sept. 6, a silver 2014 Nissan Sentra four-door sedan bearing Hawaii license plate ZBT206 was reportedly taken from the Sheraton Kona Resort &Spa at Keauhou Bay public parking area.

Sept. 8, a dark blue 2011 Chevrolet Cruz four-door sedan bearing Hawaii license plate HMV082 was reportedly taken from the 74-900 block of Lealea Street. The truck has a dent under the front passenger door.

Sept. 9, a black 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe bearing Hawaii license plate ZAX605 was reportedly taken from the 76-6100 block of Holualoa Beach Road. The victim said the keys were left within the vehicle prior to it being stolen.

Sept. 10, a gold 2004 Honda Civic four-door sedan was reportedly taken in the 76-170 block of Royal Poinciana Drive. The vehicle was recovered by its owner.

Theft from vehicle

Sept. 7, someone reportedly entered a vehicle at the Crazy Horse Ranch Apartments on Onaona Drive, taking a shower curtain. The victim said the vehicle’s door may have been unlocked.

Sept. 7, someone entered a vehicle, reportedly taking a black Fox backpack, pink Hello Kitty backpack, pair of pajamas, miscellaneous clothes, bottle of ibuprofen, bottle of gabapentin and a bottle of oxycodone. This happened at the Old Kona Airport Park during the fair.

Sept. 7, someone reportedly entered a vehicle at the Old Kona Airport Park.

Sept. 9, someone reportedly entered a vehicle at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, taking a navy blue cardiology Littman brand series 3 model stethoscope.

Theft

Sept. 7, someone reportedly took money from a washing machine at the Crazy Horse Ranch Apartments on Onaona Drive.
